Join us for a beautiful, hands-on silk painting experience! In this workshop, you’ll create your own one-of-a-kind silk artwork stretched in a hoop, ready to hang and enjoy.
We’ll begin by exploring ideas and sketching our designs on paper using Sharpies and watercolors. Then, we’ll transfer our designs onto silk hoops, outline them with gutta (a resist that helps define the shapes), and bring them to life with vibrant silk dyes and bamboo brushes. To finish, we’ll create a decorative beaded hanger for your artwork.
All materials are included, and no prior art experience is necessary. Come enjoy a creative afternoon and leave with a beautiful piece of handmade art!
